The most talked about and popular sightseeing spots for adventure travelers are located in Mirsarai and Sitakund areas of Chittagong. Jhorjhori Waterfalls is a relatively new attraction of this area full of mountains, sea and natural springs. Also known as Murthy Jharna to local tribals. 

This neat spring or Murti Jharna is located deep in the hill after passing Hajipara village of Pantichila in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong district. 

The trails leading to the mountain springs are a different delight for thrill-seekers. Which is a charming hiking-trail in a word. To take the essence of that form, tourists rush to the edge of this wild spring in the monsoon season. Where the leeches and rocky slipperiness of the path bring a different kind of thrill. 

Jharjhari Jharna is the first fountain you see after walking for about an hour along the extraordinary Jharjhari Jharna trail. If you go further up on the left side, you will see some beautiful khums and cascades. It is quite difficult and difficult to get to the top of the neat spring so it is best to go towards the end of monsoon. 

How to go to the neat fountain?

Sitakunda Panthichila by bus or train from Dhaka to Chittagong. From there, cross the railway line of Hajipara village and proceed along Kanichhara. 

From Dhaka you have to go to Chittagong by bus/train/air first. From there Sitakunda. Panthishila market will take 10 minutes by bus or Laguna from Sitakund. 

After going some distance from Panthichila you will find railway line. After walking for 5-7 minutes along the railway line, you will find a dirt road. After about 20 minutes along that road, you will see Jhiri Path. After a while you have to climb the hill. The way up the mountain is a bit like the god mountain. This path is a bit scary. After that after 30 minutes walk you will get the first waterfall and after another 20 minutes you will get the 2nd waterfall. Which looks like a ladder. You have to cross a rocky slippery path full of leeches and snakes to go this far. 

After walking for about one and a half hours through the wild and inaccessible dark path, you will see a human-shaped statue on which the fountain is located under the water. Climb up through the waterfall and you'll see the largest waterfall on the trail. 

It will take around 5.30-6 hours to complete the neat trail. If you go to Jharjhari Trail, you will immediately buy food from the market and order lunch. 

"It is good to have a guide in this direction. Go to the market and take a local as a guide. It is possible to go without a guide but it is often enough to get lost. Guide charges depend on your pleasure. It will also provide facilities for changing clothes including keeping bags at home. "
