Alutila Cave is a natural cave located in Khagrachari district of Bangladesh. Alutila Rohossomoy Guha is located in the Alutila or Arbari Hill at an altitude of 3000 feet above sea level, 7 km west of the main town in Matiranga Upazila of Khagrachari district. Locals call it Matai Hakar or God's Cave. This cave is very dark and cold. The small torch in your hand is the only source of light in the cave. The bottom of the tunnel is slippery and rocky and a spring flows beneath it. The cave looks like an underground tunnel with a length of about 350 feet. It takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to enter from one side of the cave and exit from the other side. As the height of the cave is very low at times, one has to crawl through it at one stage.
The main attraction of Alutila tourist center is its mysterious tunnels. At the foot of the Alutila hill below 266 steps from the top of the hill is the location of this mysterious tunnel built in the folds of rock and soil. The mouth of the cave is about 18 feet in diameter. To go to Alutila cave first you have to buy ticket from the main gate. Then you have to buy torches. After entering through the main gate, you will find the cave after passing a little hilly path. Due to the slippery nature of the rocks in the cave, sandals or shoes that slip the feet should not be worn. For extra security you can carry a mobile torch or torch light with you. Adventure and travel lovers should visit this cave at least once in their life.
