"Sippi Arsuang" is situated in the hilly region of Bandarban district in the eastern part of Chattogram Hill Tracts, near the Indian border, in Bangladesh. It is the 10th highest peak in Bangladesh. Its height is 2939 feet.
It has different names in different tribal languages. The Bawm community calls it Sippi, the Tanchangya refer to it as Rametang, the Marma people call it Ramatang, and the Pangkhoa community calls it Arsuang, which translates to Chicken's Beak.Apart from this, it is called by many names including Ramjum.
From the Sippi Para (Sippi village), you can see three peaks. The southern peak (on the left side) is called Sippi, the middle one is Arsuang, and the name of the one on the right is not mentioned. Some people also refer to the southernmost peak as Sippi Arsuang.
However, among all the names, it is most commonly known as Sippi Arsuang. It takes approximately eight hours to reach Sippi, and there used to be a British camp here in the past. To get to Sippi, you have to climb a steep hill from Ronin Para, and from there, you can see Sippi. The beauty of the extensive mountain range surrounding Sippi, visible from the Sippi peak, fills one's heart with awe.
Because only reaching the mountain summit is the ultimate goal, it's better not to go during the rainy season. It's better to go between November and March. There are 3 roads leading to this mountain. You can go through one route and return through another.
Most of the journey follows this path. This route is well-known and relatively easy. First, you have to go from Bandarban to Roangchhari. It will take about 3 hours. From Roangchhari, you need to go to Paikhyang Para, which will take around 3 hours and 30 minutes. From Paikhyang Para to Ronin Para, it's approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. The last leg of the journey from Ronin Para to Sippi will take about 4 hours.
To follow this path from Bandarban, you first need to go to Roangchhari. From Roangchhari, you'll reach Byangchhari Para, which takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Byangchhari Para to Byangchhari Bazar is a 10-minute walk. It's a 15-minute walk from Byangchhari Bazar to Angjai Para. From Angjai Para to Lunglain Para, it's about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Then, from Lunglain Para to Tarasha Para, it's another 1 hour and 40 minutes. Tarasha Para to Protikkya Karbari Para takes around 1 hour. From Protikkya Karbari Para to Puran Phangpudi Para, it's about 3 hours. Finally, from Puran Phangpudi Para to Sippi Para, it's approximately 30 minutes. To reach the summit of Sippi Hill from Sippi Para, it will take about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
To go from Bandarban, you should first head to Ruma Bazar. You can take a bus or a moon car to get there. From Ruma Bazar, you'll need to reach Mun Noyam Para.

You can find buses from Dhaka to Bandarban, including Shyamoli, Saint Martins, Saudia, BRTC, Dolphin, and many others. From Chittagong, you can also take a bus to reach Bandarban, and from Bohoddarhat, there are buses heading to the eastern and southeastern areas, costing Tk 110.
The distance from Bandarban to Roangchhari is 19 km. You can take a bus or CNG (locally known as "CNG") from Bandarban town to get there. The bus fare is around Tk 60 per person, and buses run every hour from 8 AM to 5 PM. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach Roangchhari by bus. You can also hire a CNG for Tk 500-600, which will take around 1 hour.
